Dubai, November 6: The UAE Bulls Abu Dhabi T10 squad for 2026 is built around Kieron Pollard, who returns as Icon Player after leading the franchise to its first title last season. Sunil Narine, Mohammad Amir and Shadab Khan headline a line-up that head coach Andy Flower hopes will deliver back-to-back crowns.

The 10th edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 runs from 7 to 20 November at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Team owner Neelesh Bhatnagar unveiled the new jersey in Dubai alongside several of the players.

Draft adds Amir and Shadab to a West Indian core

Pollard is joined by fellow West Indians Narine and Romario Shepherd. At the Player Draft in Abu Dhabi on 30 September, the Bulls added former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir and Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan, two of the most high-profile picks of the draft.

Sri Lanka seamer Nuwan Thushara, Pakistan’s Mohammad Wasim Jr, wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan and West Indies batter Andre Fletcher add further depth. Scotland seamer Bradley Currie fills the Associate Hero slot.

Pollard: ‘Go out and win it all over again’

“Winning the title last season was special, but once you have experienced that feeling, you want it again,” Pollard said. “T10 gives you almost no time to recover from mistakes, so having experienced match-winners throughout the squad is a huge advantage. Our challenge now is not to defend what we did last year, but to go out and win the trophy all over again.”

Narine said the 10-over format rewards quick thinking. “T10 is a format where every ball can change a game. You need players who are comfortable making quick decisions and taking responsibility, and this squad has plenty of them,” he said. “The goal has to be to keep the trophy with the Bulls.”

Flower wants adaptability as well as power

“T10 demands power, but power alone isn’t enough,” Flower said. “You need adaptability, intelligent bowlers, multi-dimensional cricketers and people who can remain calm when a match changes in the space of two or three deliveries.”

Pollard, Narine, Shepherd, Shadab and Khushdil Shah give Flower all-round options, while Amir, Thushara, Wasim Jr and Currie offer a varied pace attack. Fletcher, Donald, Nafay, Max Bryant and Azam Khan supply the power at the top.

Former England head coach Peter Moores, who won County Championship titles with Sussex and Lancashire, joins as assistant coach. “The squad has an excellent blend of experience, skill and emerging talent,” Moores said.

From Delhi Bulls to champions

The franchise previously played as Delhi Bulls. It reached the final in 2024 and won the title in 2025 under Pollard, and was later the first founding franchise confirmed for the new era of the Abu Dhabi T10.

“Last year’s championship was a landmark moment for the Bulls, but our ambition has always been bigger than winning one trophy,” Bhatnagar said. “Equally important to us is the presence of UAE players and emerging talent.”

The tournament also features a new franchise, Arabian Aces, captained by Moeen Ali. Follow more international cricket news on Indian Sports News.
