Mumbai: Laban Moiben from Kenya won the race in the 42 km men’s category at the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2012, while the women’s race was won by Netsanet Abeyo from Ethiopia. Indians also have a reason to smile after the race because of Ram Singh Yadav who got a ‘B’ that helped him qualify for the London Olympics, which is the first for any Indian athlete.
A total number of 3,500 participated in the Full Marathon while 11,000 people ran the Half Marathon
