Karnataka: Some brilliant batting performance from Karnataka middle-order has put the hosts in a commanding position against Delhi in a Group B Ranji Trophy match being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Karnataka after conceding a first innings lead came back strongly to post 475 before declaring the innings. Delhi were three down for only 40 runs at stumps on day three. They need 370 more runs to win the match.
Resuming the innings at 130/0, Karnataka lost Robin Uthappa (81) very early in the day. Soon his opening partner Lokesh Rahul (73) got out.
Parvinder Awana and Sumit Narwal went on to pick two more wickets to halt the Karnataka run-charge. The hosts at 167/4 saw some solid batting performance from their middle order.

Delhi needing 410 runs to win got off to a horrible start as they lost their top three batsmen with only 35 runs on the board. M Sharma (4) and Mithun Manhas (1*) will resume the innings for Delhi on the last day.
