Lincoln (New Zealand): Led from the front by Ambati Rayudu’s brilliant century, India A ended their first innings on an imposing 339 on the second day of the first unofficial Test against New Zealand here today.
In reply, the hosts were 105-4 before bad light forced an early stumps.

India who started the day on 136 for four, Rayudu played cautiously and recovered the team from spot of bother.
Rayudu started the damage control and stitched two important partnerships with Ashok Maneria and Naman Ojha.
Rayudu first combined with Maneria to put up 59 runs partnership for the fifth and then with Naman Ojha for 105.
Maneria scored 30, while Ojha contributed 41 runs. Barring them none of the lower order batsmen could show any resistance. Rayudu scored 105 which was laced with 15 fours and one six.
The Kiwis got their innings off to a jittery start and they lost their opener George Worker.
They made some amends and it was Tom Latham who tormented India and was playing on 54 at the end of day’s play. Reece Young on 28 was the other unbeaten batsmen at crease.
