Copenhagen, Denmark - Angelique Kerber defeated Mona Barthel 6-2, 0-6-7-5 to advance into the semis of the E-Boks Open on Friday.
She would now take on Jelena Jankovic, who defeated Kajoi Kanepi 4-6 6-1 6-3 in order to move into the semis. Jankovic who was on a four match losing streak before the tournament now has now made it to the third semis of the season.
The other semifinal line up would the two-time-defending champion Caroline Wozniacki taking on Petra Martic. Wozniacki defeated Alizé Cornet 6-0, 6-3 Martic got past Bojana Jovanovski, 6-4 4-6 6-3.
