New Delhi: Pop Singer Mr. Mikka Singh will be the Brand Ambassador of ‘1st Hari Ram Wrestling Indian Grand Prix Tournament 2012’ which will be held in New Delhi from 25th May to 27th May. Wrestlers from 22 Countries will show their wrestling skills in Indira Gandhi Indore Stadium in Grand Prix Tournament held first time in Asia.
Pop Singer Mikka Singh in a Press Conference organized in Hotel Hilton said this Tournament is a matter of Pride for India. He appreciated the efforts made by Chairman of Organizing Committee Mr. Ashok Aggarwal for encouraging the most ancient game of India. Mikka Singh gave his good wishes for success of this tournament.
Mr. Ashok Aggarwal, Chairman Organizing Committee on the occasion said that Mr. Mikka is very popular Pop Icon among the youth; the popularity of the tournament will also increase as he is the Brand Ambassador of the tournament. The youth will know more about Wrestling, the most ancient game of India through this tournament. The Tournament will be an annual event and India is the only country in Asia and one of the few countries in the world which have the privilege of hosting a Grand Prix Tournament.
We will make best efforts to make the Tournament memorable for wrestlers and officials both in terms of level of Competition and the standard of hospitality. The tournament has the approval of Government of India and support of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA).
