BWF rankings: Saina regains one place to No. 3

saina badminton queenNew Delhi: Saina Nehwal, who had slipped to No. 4 in the world rankings, has gained a place to move to No.3 spot in women's singles, according to the latest rankings released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) on Thursday.

The only other Indians in top 50 include P.V. Sindhu who is on 12th spot while Arundhati Pantawane has jumped 10 places to be ranked 49th.

In the men's singles, Parupalli Kashyap is the top ranked player despite dropping two places to be 13th. Meanwhile, R.M.V. Gurusaidutt moved up a place to reach career-best No.22 while Mumbai's Ajay Jayaram also jumped a place to be 24.

Sourabh Verma retains the 37th spot while B. Sai Praneeth moved up by five places to a career-best 40th. Thailand Open winner Kidambi Srikanth also moved up a place to a be at career-high 41.
