Instituted in 1974, the 10 goal handicap tournament is one of the premier polo tournaments in the winter calendar of the Army Polo and Riding Club. Starting 2012, the Cup is reinstituted as BLK Baroda Cup, marking BLK Super Specialty Hospital entry into Polo, in its effort to promote wellness and agility.

Abhay Soi, Managing Director, Radiant Life Care, which manages the 700-bed BLK Super Specialty Hospital, said, “We are proud to be associated with one of the oldest and the most prestigious polo tournaments of India.  Radiant strives to encourage quality healthcare by supporting state-of-the-art infrastructure and improved and healthy lifestyle. Polo represents fitness, agility and wellness and is not just a game but a lifestyle.”

He added, “We strongly believe physical activity/agility and promotion of sports will go a long way in mitigating such chronic disease burden”, he said. Radiant's foray into the healthcare sector started with the redevelopment of city’s 700-bed BLK Super Specialty Hospital. Continuing with its commitment to promote wellness and quality health, BLK Super Speciality Hospital had earlier announced its association with India’s prestigious Polo tournament Baroda Cup with a Sports for Wellness campaign.

Adhiraj Singh, Captain of winners Sahara Warriors, said, “Polo is a vibrant game and we are happy BLK Hospital has associated itself with this prestigious Cup. Health and sports are integral to each other and I am happy to lend all my support to this endeavour.”
