Chandigarh: The sports department of Punjab is going to start the Shaan-e Punjab Kabaddi Cup tournament. The tournament is scheduled to start on Feb. 15.  This will be a village-level tournament in which the youth will participate from across Punjab. The purpose of the event is to spread awareness about kabaddi among the youths and bringing back the missing glory of kabaddi to the state. Over 300 teams from nearly 2,400 villages across the state will be there in the arena. The matches will be played at Begowal, Sahai, Rahon, Kalanour, Gurhar Bhawanigarh and Mullanpur villages.
