Manraj helps Yadavindra School win

Chandigarh: It was the brilliant performance of Manraj Singh (96 runs in 99 balls) that helped Yadavindra Public School (YPS), Mohali, beat Paragon School, Mohali, 85 runs in the Coca-Cola Cup-2012 being played here on Thursday.


YPS won the toss and elected to bat first and were able to score 200 runs in 35 overs after losing five wickets. While Manraj remained the highest scorer for the team, Jaskaran Singh supported him with the score of 40 runs.

Chasing the target, Paragon School bundled out at 115 in 19 overs. Vikas (35 in 39) and Sukhdeep (21 in 27) were the highest scorers for the team.

Brief score (Match I): YPS: 200 for 5 in 35 overs (Manraj Singh 93, Jaskaran Singh 40; Gaurav 1 for 30).
