Rajveer stars in Karamsar College’s win

Chandigarh: With wonderful performance Rajveer assured the victory of Government College, Karamsar against Malwa College, Bondli, Samrala, by 105 runs in the Panjab University Inter-College Cricket (Men) B-Division Tournament. The tournament is being played at PU grounds here on Wednesday.


Government College, Karamsar was first to bat scored 192 runs in 24.2 overs for 10 wickets.  Pardeep 39, Harjot 31, Manav 27 and Jatinder 22 added the score ,on the other side Malwa College, Raghubir, Sukhjeet, Sharanjit and Akhil succeeded to take two wickets each, while Prinka and Satnaam took a wicket each.


Chasing the target, Malwa College mounted upto 87 runs in 22.1 overs. Raghuvir (26) and Jaswinder (22) gave a good challenge whilefrom Government College Karamsar, Rajveer proved a hot wicket gainer. He got six wickets for 26 runs. Harjot  took three and Pardeep took one wicket giving away 20 and 40 runs, respectively.


One another match was played between GGD SD College and Gobindgarh Public College, Alour.  GGD SD College defeated Gobindgarh Public College by eight wickets.


Gobindgarh Public College, Alour, scored 129 runs, as all of its batsmen were out within 23.1 overs. On the other hand, chasing the target, GGD SD College were able to win the match within 16.4 overs, losing only two wickets.

Match II: Gobindgarh Public College: 129 in 23.1 overs all out (Haranpreet Singh 25, Karan Singh 13; Davinder Singh 3 for 14, Parminder 3 for 25, Jatinder 1 for 16, Harjinder 1 for 23).
GGD SD College: 131 runs in 16.4 overs for 2 wickets (Gurdas 39, Gurpreet 31, Parminder 21 not out; Amarinder 1 for 25, Gurpreet 1 for 26).
