Chandigarh: Chess player, Himal Gusain, of GGDSD College 32, bagged the open team Chess Championship with 6 points in the Chandigarh Team Chess Championship, held at St Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, here today.

Pradeep Singh Negi of Chitkara University finished second while Nitin secured third position with 5.5 points each in the same category. Sanjeev Biswas finished fourth in the tourney after scoring 5 points.

On the other hand, in the women's category, Shivika Jain of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, won the title with 4.5 points while Tanya Kaushal of Sacred Heart, Sector 26, stood second with 4.5 points.
