Chandigarh: Girl players of DAV Club, Sector 8, lifted the Deepak Kampania trophy by defeating Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, in the finals of the Chandigarh Junior Football Tournament for Girl’s held at Football Stadium, Sector 17, here today. DAV Club’s team routed the star studded Sacred Heart School in a sudden death by 4-3. After the goalless draw in the regulation time, the match predication of match went to tie-breaker.


Pooja, Manpreet, Harleen Randhawa and Kishmita were the main scorers for the winning side while for rivals Ekta, Soumya and Tanvi Bhargava managed to score for the team. Deepika Saantha, Manpreet Kaur (GMSSS-22), Harleen Randhawa (DAV Club) and Syeba (Sacred Heart) were declared as the best players of the tournament.
