Chandigarh: New Public School, Sector 18, (NPS-18) defeated DAV School Sector 15 in the first match of Col Balraj Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls (U-13), being held here.

In first league match, NPS-18 team thrashed DAV by 23-6 (16-0, 1-2, 6-2, 0-2).

In girl’s category match, St Kabir Public School, Sector 26, trounced Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector 20, by 22-39 (1-6, 2-15, 13-8, 6-10). Ridhi gathered 12 (points) for the winning side while Preetika scored 8 points for the losing side.
