Chandigarh: Aseem (7 wickets for 7) and a fine batting performance by Litkarsh (74 in 54 balls) enabled GMSSS, Sector 35, to beat DPS-40 by 132 runs in the U-16 Inter-school Cricket Tournament held at DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore), Sector 8, here today.

After winning the toss, GMSSS-35 decided to bat and put up a total of 149 runs on the scoreboard in their stipulated 20 overs. Litkarsh 74 and Abhimanyu 32 were the main scorers. For DPS, Jagjeet and Arnav took one wicket each giving away 29 and 17 runs, respectively.

In reply, Aseem (7 wickets for 7 runs) helped GMSSS-35 bundle out DPS 40 on the mere score of 18 runs. Jagjeet was the other bowler who took two wickets giving 11 runs. For DPS, Sai and Krishna scored four runs each.
