Sirsa: Grapplers from the Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, and Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut, shared the honours on the first day of the All-India Inter-University Women’s Wrestling Championship that began here in the Chaudhary Devi Lal University here on Monday.

In the 48-kilogram category, Priyanka of CCSU bagged gold by defeating Ritu of MDU, who had to content with silver.


Babita from MDU grappled to gold in the 55-kg category, while in the 63-kg weight category, Sakshi Malik of MDU bagged the yellow metal. Anshu Tomar of CCSU won gold in the 72-kg category.
