Chandigarh: The 24th Gurmeet Singh Grewal Memorial Chandigarh State Table Tennis Championship will be held at Table Tennis Hall, Sector 23, from November 24.


Harish Kumar, secretary of the association, said teams for the 73rd Juniors & Youth Six-day Nationals and Inter-state Table Tennis Championship to be held at Silliguri (West Bengal) from January 3, 2012, would be selected during the tournament. Teams for 73rd Senior Nationals and Inter-state Table Tennis Championship to be held at Lucknow (UP) from January 23, 2012, would also be selected, he added.


Kumar said only registered players of Chandigarh could participate in the championship to be sponsored by Sukhmeet Grewal in memory of his father Gurmeet Singh Grewal. Interested players should deposit their entry fee with TT coach Harmanpreet Singh, technical officials Sheetal Negi and Richa Pandey.
