Chandigarh: GGMSSS-18 beat GMSSS-37 3-0 to bag the title in the Inter-School Hockey Tournament (U-17) organised by the education department here today. GGMSSS-20 bagged the third position by thrashing GMSSS-32 4-0.

In the U-17 boys’ event, DAV School, Sector 8, bagged the first position, while GMHS-42 and SGGS-26 secured the second and third position, respectively.

Football

DPS School, Sector 40, defeated St Kabir School-26 1-0 in the Inter-School Football Tournament (U-14 boys) at GMSSS-22A here today. The lone goal was scored by Parth Rastogi in the 48th minute of the game.

In another match, St Joseph School-44 defeated St Stephen’s-45 4-3 in the tie-breaker.

Cricket

An excellent all-round performance by Pardeep (45 runs and five wickets) helped GMSSS-19 beat GMSSS-38 by 60 runs in the Inter-School Cricket Championship at DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore), Sector 8 C, today.
