Patiala: Sangrur defeated Patiala by 2-1 to win the PEPSU Hockey Championsip organised by the Patiala Men Hockey Association at NIS here today. As many as 11 districts took part in this championship. Senior Congress leader Hardyal Singh, MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur and NRI Satwant Singh gave away prizes to the winners. In the final match, Navdeep Singh and Harwinder Singh scored for Sangrur whereas Mandeep Singh was the sole scorer for Patiala.Kapurthala defeated Barnala by 2-1 to bag third place.
