Chandigarh: In the ongoing 6th Kanwar Harbans Lal Memorial Football Tournament, St Soldier’s School, Sector 28, and Chandigarh Police Football Club register wins in their respective matches of the junior and senior category held at the Football Stadium, Sector 17, here today.

St Soldier’s drubbed St John’s School, Sector 26, by 2-0. Padma Otsal opened the account in the 15th minute of the game, while Shubhkarman Singh doubled the lead in the 24th minute. Padma Otsal was declared man of the match for his performance.

In the match of the senior category, Chandigarh Police Football Club after a goalless first half won the match by 2-1. Roako scored the first goal for St Stephen’s in the 49th minute of the game, but Jashanpreet took the score to 1-1 in the 77th minute of the game. For Police Club, Gagandeep Singh scored the decider in the dying minutes of the game.

For his efforts, Jashanpreet of police club was adjudged as man of the match.
