Chandigarh: The District Football Association, Ambala, defeated Friends Club, Mohali, during the ongoing sixth Kanwar Harbans Lal Memorial Football Tournament for Boys being held at football stadium in Sector 17 here on Saturday.

In the first match, Ambala defeated the rivals 2-0. Naresh guided the team to victory in the 70th and 85th minutes of the game.

In the junior category, Delhi Public School, Sector 40, overcame Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, 4-0.

Tripraj opened the team’s account in the fifth minute, while doubling the lead in the 11th minute of the game. Eshaan (17th minute) and Ekam (25th minute) sealed the team’s victory. Gagan from the winners side was declared man of the match.
