Chandigarh: In-form local player Kinshuk Sharma defeated Yogesh Phogat in the men’s (singles) final to lift the title of the Sanjog Kapur Memorial CLTA-AITA Open Tennis Tournament for Mens at the CLTA courts, Sector 10, here today.

While Tarrannum Handa of Delhi defeated Riya Bhatia, also from Delhi, to bag the women’s title.

In the men’s final, Kinshuk defeated Yogesh in three sets 6-7(4), 6-4 and 6-4, while Tarrannum defeated Riya Bhatia 6-2 and 6-1.

On the other hand, the pair of Sachin Kumar and Kinshuk Sharma defeated Anwar Shahul of Karnataka and Rynold Timothy of Kerala 6-4 and 7-5 to win the doubles title.

Also, Shreya Pasricha and Tarrannum Handa of Delhi defeated Riya Bhatia and Victoria Chahal of Delhi 6-1 and 6-0 to win the women’s doubles title.
