In another match of the same category, Manjeet Singh of MRS, Malout, defeated Gurpreet Singh of GPC, Alour. In the 48-kg category, Sumit Hooda of SGGS, Chandigarh, beat Varinder Singh of GPC, Alour, while Sandeep Kumar of MMD DAV, Gidderbaha, overcame Ajay Kumar of local DAV College.
