Chandigarh: Suraj Desai defeated Sachin Kumar and Sherya P defeated Rigni Savia in the men and women’s categories, respectively, during the ongoing Sanjog Kapur Memorial CLTA-AITA Men’s and Women’s-50K Chandigarh Open Tennis Tournament being held at CLTA Courts here today.

In the first round matches of the main draw of men’s category, Suraj Desai overcame Sachin Kumar 8-3 and Ranjeet Singh defeated Bharat Ram 8-2, while in the women’s category, Sherya P defeated Rigni Savia 8-2 and Ashima Garg defeated Arushi Sharma 8-6.
