Kolkata: Five meet marks were established on the penultimate day of the four-day all-India inter-university aquatics meet at the Subhas Sarobar pool here on Wednesday.

Gagan A.P. and Suravi Tipre of Jain University obliterated the men's and women's 400m freestyle records while the other two marks were established by Aaron D'Souza of Bangalore and Puja R. Alva of VT University (Belgaum) in the 100m butterfly.

The fifth record was in the women's 50m backstroke where Fariha Zaman of Jain rewrote the record.

In the 4x200m freestyle relays, Punjab and Jain clinched the top spots.

In the water polo semifinals, Calcutta will play Calicut while Kerala will take on Gurunanak Dev.

Karishma Mohite of Bangalore and Avishek of Delhi won the women's and men's 3m springboard diving events.
