Chandigarh: The girls of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 28 won two titles in the Inter-School Netball Championship played at GMSSS, Sector 20, Chandigarh, here on Tuesday.

The champions first defeated Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, 17-11 to clinch the under-17 category. Himanshi and Gurvinder Kaur were the main scorers for the winners. They collected nine and eight points, respectively. The GMSSS-28 team then went on to clinch the under-14 title by beating Ryan International School, Sector 49, 7-4. Channo Rani scored five points to guide the winners home.
However in the under-19 final, the GMSSS-28 team failed to continue their winning run and lost to KB DAV School, Sector 7, 10-11.

In the under-14 final, Government Middle School, Sector-46 beat Shishu Niketan School-22 by 13 points to emerge champions. In the third-place match, Government High School-32 defeated Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, by eight points and one turn.
