Chandigarh: Bhawani Shanker of SAS Nagar outclassed Karamjit Singh to grab gold in the 60kg section of the seniors' category during the 4th Punjab State Deaf Wrestling Championship at Gulzar Wrestling Akhara in Zirakpur on Sunday.

In the same category, Lakhwinder Singh won the 55kg section by defeating Madan Lal, while Satwant Singh walked away with the top honour in the 66kg section after getting the better of Kamaljit.

In the juniors' category, Karamjit Singh defeated Rajvir Singh to win gold in the 60kg section, while Akshay Kumar emerged winner in the 84kg category by beating Sukhjinder Singh.

Results: Seniors': 55 kg: 1 Lakhwinder Singh (Ferozepur) 2 Madan Lal (Bathinda) 3 Satwant Singh (Faridkot).
