Mohali: Naman Gupta and Adeesh Bansal moved into the quarterfinals of boys U-12 event in the Manav Mangal Total Tennis Tournament being played at the Total Tennis Academy in Manav Mangal Smart School, Phase X, Mohali.
Naman was lucky enough to move into the quarterfinals by just one point in a tie-breaker 7-6 (7-5). Adeesh Bansal of Chandigarh toyed with Indresh in a one-sided match.
Hirday Partap Singh of Millennium School, Mohali, and Sumer Sandhu of Strawberry World School, Chandigarh, played neck to neck till 4-4, but Hirday, the tallest boy of the tournament (6 ft 4inches), got his rhythm and served hard to convert the match in his favour 6-4.
