In the final round, Raju outwitted K. S. Anand Reddy (4.5) to clinch the issue. In juniors category, V. Krishna Sai of Hindu Public School won the title.

Hyderabad Globe defeated City College Old Boys 3-1 in the final of the Jawahar Challenge Cup football championship atYapral here.
Faizal, Tengo Tebo and Shale were the scorers for the winner while Mousqim reduced the margin for the loser. Johnson Football Club ‘A' finished third and Johnson FC ‘B' got the Fair Play award.
The winner was presented Rs. 6,000 and the runner-up Rs. 4,000. Former India captain Victor Amalraj gave away the prizes.
