Mohali: Children of the Mohali and Chandigarh region have a golden opportunity to pick up golf under the guidance of international golfer Harmeeet Kahlon at the Mohali Golf Range from December 25 till January 13.
The Winter 2016 Camp is open for both children and adults and Membership of the Mohali Golf Range will not be a hindrance as the Golf Camp is open to non members as well. Participants will not have to buy any expensive equipment as all child specific golf equipment, balls, coaching fees, club fees etc, will be included. The duration of the camp is for 20 days and will consist of 10 sessions in all and will be conducted by experienced and qualified coaches including Director Harmeet Kahlon, PreetinderKaur and Col Harinder Singh.
According to Arjuna Awardee Kahlon, “Children as young as four years old are now picking up golf which is now an Olympic Sport at Mohali Golf Range and our student member Yuvraj Singh Hara has just participated in an International Tournament in Indonesia. We have introduced a parent-child coaching format also where parents and children can learn golf together. Towards the end of the camp the participants will be taken to play on the MGR Par 2 Golf Course thereby giving the beginners a feel of playing on the course also. A Golf Etiquette clinic will also be conducted during the Camp and participation certificates will be presented to all the participants”
This Golf Camp will consist of golf instructions in both individual and group sessions for with boys, girls and adults. The 10 session packages start from Rs 3800 per child and will cover golf orientation, warm up, hitting, putting, chipping, bunker play, etc. Both morning and evening timings are be available.
