New Delhi: Punjab & Sind Bank beat AIU by 4-3 in a closely contested match of the 53rd Nehru Senior Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Sunday.

Punjab & Sind Bank scored goals in the 1st, 3rd, 13th and 61st minute of the match through Jaskaran and Gagandeep, while AIU scored in the 45th, 59th and 63rd minute through Dharambir, Hardeep and Harmanjot.
Gaganpreet Singh of Punjab and Sind Bank was adjudged man-of-the-match.

In another match played on Sunday, Army XI beat CAG XI by 6-3 in a one-sided match. Army XI scored goals in the 20th, 24th, 34th, 46th, 60th and 66th minute of the match through Vishwa, Siraju, Ramandeep, Sanjib, Pawal and Ranjanath while CAG XI scored through Gurpartap and Chandan.

Vishwa Thakur of ArmyXI was adjudged man-of-the-match.
