New Delhi: Indian Railways beat Indian Air Force by 3-2 in a closely contested match of the 53rd Nehru Senior Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Saturday.

Indian Railways scored goals in the 12th, 32th and 60th minute of the match through Aiyappa, Raja, and Rajin, while Indian Air Force scored in the 15th and 70th minute through Harwant and Lovepreet.

Jasjit Singh of Indian Railways was adjudged man-of-the-match.

In another match played on Saturday, PNB XI beat Air India by 5-4 in a closely contested match. PNB XI scored goals in the 14th, 19th , 34th, 36th, and 44th minute of the match through Sumit, Gagandeep,Gurjinder and Naveen while Air India scored in the 15th,34th,58th and 64th  through Nitesh Kiro.

Gagandeep Singh of PNB XI was adjudged man-of-the-match.
