Mohali: Golf lovers of the region have a chance to tee off at the first ever Diwali Golf Camp at Mohali Golf Range here from Sunday​(November 8) onwards.
The camp is open to non–members also and participants will also get golf equipment, including clubs and balls, which will be made available to them.

Harmeet Kahlon, Director, Mohali Golf Range said, “We want children ​and​ ​​parents to make use of the festive season holidays and great weather to pick up golf and ​and stay away from polluting firecrackers. This camp will be conducted by experienced and qualified coaches including myself.”

He added that the camp would consist of golf instructions in both groups and individual sessions with separate batches for beginners and advanced children (both boys and girls) and adults.

Kahlon informed, “At the end of the 10-day camp, participants will also be taken to play on the Mohali Golf Range pitch and putt course as part of the curriculum thereby giving the beginners a feel of playing on the course.”

The packages range from Rs 2,100 to Rs 5,570 for juniors and adults, depending on beginner or advanced status of the participants. All equipment including balls, clubs, training aids etc. will be available for use and children do not have to buy expensive golf equipment.

The camp will cover all aspects, including hitting, putting, chipping, bunker play etc .Timings of the camp would be from 07:30 am to 10:30 am and evenings 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
