Chandigarh: Golf Club Lady captain Binny Bath with her committee of Ashu B Singh, Neelu Chopra and Roop Aulakh are all set to conduct the 22nd Punjab Open Ladies Golf Tournament starting at the Picturesque Chandigarh Golf Club on October 27. There are 76 entries with the youngest being an eight-year-old playing to a handicap of 15.
There is going to be stiff competition for each category over the three days of this tournament as participants from all over the country will vie for the coveted titles in this prestigious tournament.
According to Binny Bath, the winner of the championship shall be the player who returns the lowest gross score over 54 holes (3 Days). There will also be prizes for the 1st and 2nd runners up for the next best gross scores. Other prize categories will include the Silver Salver, Challenge Bowl, Bronze Plate, Junior Shield, Sub-Junior Trophy, Senior Challenge and Super Senior Challenge.
The championship will be governed by the rules of golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
