Chandigarh: Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy, inspite of winning their last match of league stage against Bhaichung Bhutia Football School, New Delhi, failed to enter the semi-final of 13th Administrator’s Challenge Cup Football Tournament being played at Chandigarh on Sunday.

Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy had equal (seven points) as Mahilpur Football academy, but Mahilpur Football academy entered semi-finals on a better goal average in the pool Ç’.

The last match of league stage of pool Ç’ was played at Sector-17 Football stadium between Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy and Baichung Bhutia School of Football.

From the initial moments of the game, it was evident that Mohun Bagan would beat Bhutia team, but mistakes on their part spoiled their kitty.
Bhutia lads played with seven defenders and were able to stop Mohun Bagan. Both the teams played goal-less till the breather. On the resumption of play Mohun Bagan lads scored the only goal of the match. Rizul Patiyal scored the goal in the 50th minute of play.
