Administrator’s Challenge Cup: Youngsters Football Academy beat KUCT Football Academy 1-0

Chandigarh: Local Youngsters Football Academy, Chandigarh went down fighting against KUCT Football Academy, Howrah by the narrow margin of one goal in 13th Administrator’s Challenge Cup All India Football Tournament (U-17 Boys), at Sector-42, Sports Complex here on Wednesday.

Both the teams were equally balanced and somehow played with the same formation. Both the teams were at 0-0 at the half time interval.

On the resumption of play after half time, Karan Chand Murmu scored the only goal of the match in the 60th minute of play. Susabhair Khan and Gitam Das of KUCT were cautioned by the referee and shown yellow card for their involvement in rough play.

The second match at the same venue proved to be one-sided affair for Chandigarh Football Association team. They beat Ozone Group Football Academy by a score of 5-1. Shubham scored four goals for Chandigarh, including three in a row. He scored in 20th, 23rd, 49th and 67th minute of play.

Chandigarh lads were leading by 2-0 at the breather. On the resumption of play after half time Chandigarh lads pumped three more goals. Arjit scored the other goal for Chandigarh in the 58th minute of play. Imran of Ozone Group Football Academy, Bangalore scored the only goal for his team in the 85th minute of play.

In the third match played at Sector-17, Football Stadium, Pune Football Club drubbed Gujarat Football Association by the huge margin of 9-1.
Lalawmpuria scored five goals of Pune Football Club in 14th, 30th, 37th, 57th and 62nd minute of play. Omega scored two goals in 34th and 36th minute of play. Sachin K and Muirang scored one goal each for Pune Football Club in 25th and 80th minute of play.

Vishva Patel of Gujrat Football Association scored the only goal for his team in the 12th minute of play.

In the other match played at Sector-17, Football Stadium, Mahilpur Football Academy beat Baichung Bhutia Football Academy, Delhi by the huge margin of 7-0.
Umesh scored two goals in the 20th and 52nd minute of play. Tejinder Singh also scored two goals in the 57th and 80th minute of play, whereas Taranjit, Anwar Ali and Mohd Asif scored one goal each for Mahilpur in the 65th, 67th and 75th minute of play. Umesh of Mahilpur Football Academy and Ashish Saini of Baichung Football Academy were shown yellow card by the referee for their involvement in rough play.

In the last match of the day, Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy stunned Thou Sports Academy Mahilpur by the thin margin of 1-0. Both the teams were equally balanced and exhibited skillful game right from the word go. Both the teams were locked at 0-0 at the breather.

On the resumption of play Mohun Bagan lads started using their flanks frequently and frmed many good moves from the right flank in the 71st minute of play. Bagan lads framed a move, their striker Ujjal Saha sent a low height cross from the left flank. The Thou defender I Parithoi tried to clear it but the Ball deflected and entered their own goal.
