Mohali: Mohali got the better of Chandigarh by 42 runs as per VJD method in the last league match of one-day tournament for FC Mittal Trophy played at IS Bindra Stadium Mohali on Wednesday.

Mohali batting first against Chandigarh scored 263 for 6 with opener Subeer Hayer scoring 91 off 99 balls with 11 boundaries and 2 sixes, skipper Uday Kaul 41 and Mayank Sidana 56 and Abhijeet Garg unbeaten 28 were the other notable contributor with the bat. Siddharth Kaul 2 for 38 and Gaurav Gambhir 3 for 46 shared the spoils for Chandigarh.

Replying Chandigarh scored 201 for 9 in 41.3 overs when thunderstorm halted play and Mohali were declared winners by 42 runs as per VJD method. Shivam Bhambri 59 of 68 balls with 7 boundaries and one six and Manan Vohra 16 with one four and one six added 42 runs for the first wicket. Jaskaran Sohi 23, Arjit Singh 21, Gaurav Gambhir 20, Gurinder Singh 21 were the other contributors with the bat for Chandigarh.
