Chandigarh: Sachin Kumar secured the first position by beating Sultan Atwal by 6-1, 6-1; whereas Manjot Singh beat Sabrang by 6-4, 6-4 and for the third position in boys U-19 singles matches of UT Open Tennis Championships, here on Friday.

In Girls Singles matched Gaytri secured the 1st position by beating Shomita by 6-4, 6-3; whereas Himanshika got the 3rd place by beating Nimrit Walia by 6-3, 6-2.

On the other hand in the Boys Doubles matches Sachin / Ramanjot got 1st position by beating 2nd place holder Manjot / Himanshu by 6-1, 7-6(3); whereas Ritwik / Sohrab beat Nihit / Rohit by W-O and got 3rd position.

In Girls Doubles Himanshika / Kamaljeet Kaur got 1st position by beating 2nd place holder Gaytri / Nimrit by 4-5 (7), 5-3, 4-1; whereas Shamita / Maitri secured 3rd position by beating Jyotsana/Kaneka by 4-2, 4-1.

On the prize distribution ceremony Sh. K.S. Bharti, Joint Director Sports has given the cash awards to the winners runnerups and third place holders.
