DSA Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship: Garhwal Heroes FC score 4-0 victory over Tarun Sangha FC

New Delhi: Last year's runners-up Garhwal Heroes Football Club outclassed Tarun Sangha FC 4-0 in group- B preliminary league match to earn three full points in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr Ambedkar Stadium here on Sunday.
Garhwal Heroes led 3-0 till half-time. Inside-left Golmaie opened the score (1-0) in 2nd minute of the proceedings. Nigerian recruit Al Hassan increased lead to 2-0 in 37th minute while another Nigerian recruit Charles made the score 3-0 in 40 + 1 minute.

On changing ends, Tarun Sangha mounted heavy pressure against their strong rivals but forwards Parveen Kumar(SR) Satwinder Singh and Amandeep Singh missed easy sitters from close, following erratic shooting. Garhwal Heroes gathered seven points from three matches while Tarun Sangha have six points from three matches.

Later on, newly promoted Moonlight SC scored a 2-1 victory over National United FC 2-1. Moonlight's young lads played an impressive game against their strong opponents. Moonlight Club collect six points from four matches while National United FC have three points in three games. Moonlight took 1-0 lead in the 9th minute through Nitin Sharma and again in 61st minute Nitin again struck to make it 2-0. National United reduced margin 1-2 in 64th minute through Saheen John .
