Panchkula: Haryana Badminton Team comprising of Akshit Mahajan,Neeraj Vashist, Ketan Chahal , Saurav Kapoor, Ravinder Harinder, Rajat and Sidarth created history by reaching the semi-final of 69th Senior National Badminton Championship by beating Utter Pardesh in the quarterfinal at new Delhi.
This is first time that Haryana Men's Team assured the bronze medal.

In the first singles, Neeraj Vashist beat Saurav Agarwal of UP 21-15-17. In the second singles, Akshit Mahajan of Haryana beat Anjan Yadav of UP with a score of 21-12,21-13.

In the doubles, Akshit Mahajan and Neeraj Vashist join hands and beat Vinay and Shibam with a score of 12-21.22-20 and 21-11.

In the semi-final, Haryana will face Air India.
