Solutrean-Hindustan F.C. thrash Delhi F.C. 2-1 in DSA Senior Division League 2013

New Delhi: Solutrean-Hindustan Football Club thrashed Delhi Football Club 2-1 in their third league match of the DSA Senior Division League 2013 played at the CWG Sports Complex in Akshardham on Friday.


Midfielder Jagdeep Singh started the campaign with an eye-catching goal at the 30th min. Left-back Anil Bara shot the ball from left-flank to Jagdeep, who received it in the air and directed to the net beating the opposition’s custodian.


Just after three minutes (33rd min), Nigerian striker O.O. Sola increased the lead to 2-0 by netting the ball and helped Solutrean-Hindustan F.C. to maintain the domination through-out the first half.


In the second half, Solutrean-Hindustan faced tough fight-back from Delhi F.C. Pradeep Kumar scored their first goal at the 48th min. and helped his team to give some tough challenges. In the rest of the match, Delhi F.C. tried to equalise the score but Solutrean-Hindustan defenders resisted well and won the match 2-1.


After this match, Solutrean-Hindustan F.C. now has 7 points in the Group II. They will face City Football Club on 2nd January 2013 at 02:45 pm.
