Chandigarh: PCC defeated MPCA by 147 runs in the first semi-final of the JP Atray Cricket Tournament played at St. John High School here on Sunday.
Batting first, PCC scored 242 for 8 in allotted 50 over’s. They were helped in their cause by Sunny Shoal (74) and Sharad Loomba (59). The two put on 127 runs for the fourth wicket. Gitansh Khera unbeaten 34 and Siddharth Kaul’s 38 added 63 runs for the 8th wicket in 42 balls.
Vijjit Rana 3 for 35 and C. K. Sakure 3 for 59 were the most successful bowlers For MPCA.
Replying, MPCA were skirted out for 95 runs in 31.1 overs. Ankit Sharma (40) was the highest run getter for MPCA. Rajwinder Golu 4 for 28, Sandeep Sharma 2 for 19 and Rahul Sharma 2 for 24 were the main wicket takers for Punjab.
In the Second semi- final, Relince defeted CAG by 49 runs at Cricket stadium Sector-16.
