Chandigarh: The Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration is organizing All-India Invitational Handball Tournament (Women) from 14th to 17th October, 2013under the aegis of Handball Federation of India.

There will be eight teams participating in this tournament from different states which are further divided into Pool-A(Chandigarh, Haryana, Kerala, J & K) and Pool-B(Punjab, Delhi, U.P., Chhattisgarh).

The tournament will be conducted at Sports Complex, Sector – 42, Chandigarh under the newly installed flood lights on the Synthetic Handball Court.

The Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration has been consented to be the Chief Guest on the Opening Ceremony. However, the Closing Ceremony is likely to be presided-over by K.K. Sharma, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh. The Tournament will be declared “OPEN” on 14th October, 2013 at 5:10 P.M. and “Closed” on 17th October, 2013 at 7:20 P.M.
