Gurgaon: Punjab beat JKCA by 50 runs in TERI Gurgaon and JK was the unbeaten team in the Pool having won their matches against Himachal and Haryana in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy under progress.

Punjab batting first posted a healthy total of 259 for 9 in 50 overs. Nikhil Choudhary 90,Anmolpreet Singh 57,Karan Sharma 42 were the main run getters for Punjab and for JKCA Aaqib Nazir 3 for 55, Shubham Khajuria 2 for 28 were the main wicket takers.

Off spinner Arpit Pannu 4 for 39, Anmolpreet Singh 4 for 32 wove a web around JK batsmen and did not allow any liberty. The duo snuffed out the JK batting for a paltry score of 209. This victory keeps Punjab in the hunt for finding a place in the knock out. Punjab will play their last league match against HPCA at Jajjar (Lahli) on 26.10.2013.
