New Delhi: Magnificent handling and dribbling by C.R.P.F Public School team helped them thrash G.D. Goenka Public School, Rohini 3-0 and reached the final of the Airtel Rising Stars 2013-Delhi Leg at Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi today.

C.R.P.F. Public School showed spectacular teamwork and dominated the match most of the time. Ritwik scored the first goal in 3rd minute and gave an early lead to his team. Mohammad Aqib extended the lead in 9th minute, followed by Abhishek’s goal in 31st minute to seal the victory for their team.

In another semi-final match at the same ground, Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj defeated Apeejay Public School, Noida 1-0. Rudraksh scored the brilliant goal in 41st min and took his team to the final against C.R.P.F. Public School, which will be held on Saturday, 31st August, 11:00 am at Ambedkar Stadium.

More than 1,600 U-16 footballers from more than 80 schools in Delhi participated in the Airtel Rising Stars 2013-Delhi Leg and the best three footballers will be selected among them tomorrow at 1:00 pm during the prize distribution ceremony. The three young Delhi players will join the best 30 young footballers from all over country at the national camp in Goa. From the 30 players, three footballers and a goalkeeper will be selected for the Manchester United Soccer School coaching camp.
