Patiala: After skittling out Patiala for 68 in 31.3 overs, Ludhiana could manage only 179 in 69.4 overs. They got the crucial 111 runs first innings lead. For Ludhiana Bharat Malhotra unbeaten 39 and Deepak Bansal 27 registered a 49 runs partnership for the 7th wicket.

Thereafter, Kunwar Raina and Preet Kamal went on to hammer unbeaten centuries and add (203) runs for the second wicket to take their team’s total to 250 in 59 overs at close of third day's play.

Kunwar Raina scored an unbeaten (105) off 162 balls studded with five boundaries and two sixes while Preet Kamal scored an unbeaten (106) off 151 balls inclusive of 10 boundaries and four sixes.
