New Delhi: Great teamwork helped Mamta Modern School, Vikaspuri thrash Sahodaya School, Safdarjung 5-1 in a knock-out match of the 2nd edition of the Airtel Rising Stars-Delhi Leg, at Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi today.

Mamta Modern School showed exceptional teamwork, dominating the match by controlling the ball most of the time. Aditya opened the account in 17th minute and gave an early lead to his team. Shorya extended the lead in 22nd minute followed by Jaskaran’s goal in 31st minute, which sealed the victory for Mamta Modern School.

After the third goal, Sahodaya School lost hopes and they conceded two more goals from Roshan C and Aditya Singh in 37th and 42nd mins respectively. Rohit scored the consolation goal for his team in 15th minute.

In another knock-out match at the same ground, Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri defeated Faith Academy, Lajpath Nagar 2-0. Pranav scored the first goal in 17th min, which built pressure on the opposition team. Nikhil’s goal in 39th min sealed the victory of Sanskriti School.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya beat Gyan Bharti School 1-0 in another match. Ishan score the winning goal in the 22nd min.
