Indian striker Robin Singh to spend day with aspiring Delhi Footballers

New Delhi: Indian football star and national team striker Robin Singh will be spending a day at “My Angels Academy”, a non-profit football school for underprivileged youth, based out of Vikaspuri, New Delhi.

 

Robin, born and bought up in Noida, is a graduate of the renowned Tata Football Academy and has returned home on the back of a successful I-League season with East Bengal Football Club. Robin won Indian football fans’ hearts by scoring the decisive penalty against Cameroon in the Nehru Cup final in 2012.


The event will be held on Saturday, 22ndJune at the DDA Mini Football ground, C Block, Vikaspuri and shall include an interactive session and casual game with Robin showcasing the skills which elevated him to the highest echelons of Indian football.


In addition, Robin will be sharing his experiences of representing India at the international stage as well as giving tips to young budding footballers of tomorrow.


The event will be open for public viewing.


Sylvester Peter, the founder of My Angels Academy expressed his excitement to host Robin Singh, the next generation of Indian football. He hopes one day his school can produce the next Robin Singh.
