Chandigarh: Rajiv Moudgil and S S Mundy emerged winners from among 150 golfers in the handicap categories of 0-12 and 13-24, respectively, in the Godrej Properties Golf Challenge tournament played at the Chandigarh Golf Club on 26th May, Sunday.

Moudgil, with an original handicap of 8, carded two birdies and had eleven pars to register 39 points and win the 0-12 handicap category, followed home by Capt. G.S. Ghumman, with 39 points. S.S.Mundy emerged winner in the 13-24 handicap category.

Playing with an original handicap of 15, Mundy carded three birdies and had eight pars to register 44 points which earned him a fairly comfortable win. Col J.S.Kang(Sr), finished second with 41 points after edging out D.S.Randhawa(also 41 pts) on the basis of a better back nine score.

The other highlight of the day was Anil Bhasin, who got a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th which was kept as the ‘Closest to the Pin’ Hole. Sandeep Sandhu, Captain, Chandigarh Golf Club said:”Despite the heat, the response was fantastic with 150 golfers participating and thoroughly enjoying the tournament.”
