New Delhi: Delhi Public School, Noida dethroned defending champions Sanskriti School, Chankayapuri defeating them 4 - 2 in the final match to lift 3rd AR Khan Memorial Inter - School Football Tournament - 2013 trophy held on Tuesday at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium.
Earlier, the players of both teams were introduced to Indian Football team captain Sunil Chhetri.
In the initial half proceedings, DPS dominated the game from start of the whistle and took 1-0 lead through Abhi Raj in 2nd minute of the proceedings. Thereafter star striker Kartikha scored a hat- trick, striking in the 14th, 19th and 57th minute.
Sanskriti's Dharu and Kshitiz socred in 37th and 57th mintute to reduce margin 2 - 4.
Man of the match award was given to DPS Kartikha.

The Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) will hold a open selection - cum - coaching from Wednesday at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium to select Delhi state football U- 16 team for participation in the National Football Championship for Coca - Cola Cup scheduled to be held at Mumbai and Pune from May 18 to 28.
Players born on or after 1.1.1998 are eligible to participate in the selection camp starting from Wednesday at 4.00 pm at Ambedkar Stadium. Interested players may report to camp chairman - Hem Chand, convenor- Benny Jodeph, Liquat Ali, Magan Singh Patwal, Dilip Ghosh alongwith their original date of birth certificates.
